Whether the size of your space is 400 square feet or 4000 square feet… oftentimes it feels as if there is not enough space to effectively store and organize all your stuff.
Space… or the lack of it, is never a problem when it comes to storage and organization. The real problem is the amount of stuff that occupies the space.
Before you can maximize the use of your space… whether it be abundant or not, is to reduce and eliminate ALL the stuff that does not serve a useful purpose or need.
Of ALL the stuff we have, we only use 20% of it 80% of the time.
That leaves us with using the remaining stuff 80% of the time and we only use 20% of it, i.e.; seasonal clothing, holiday decor, and entertainment items.
The majority of the stuff we use… which serves our needs, are the only things we need to keep handy and accessible. The rest of the stuff… which we rarely, if ever use, or need, should be eliminated, purged or re-located to another storage area, far away from our immediate space.
Now that the purge is complete and the only items that remain are the things we actually need and use, you’ll discover much more available space to organize your stuff in a manner that makes them easily accessible and more importantly, easier to put away.
