- Stash Your Stuff: Baskets and Bins
I love to use open baskets and bins for their ease of putting things away and retrieving them. Some perfect examples include; hand tools, throw blankets, toiletries and accessories, remote controls and computer accessories.
- Hang Your Stuff: Pockets
Wall mounted or over the door pockets are great way to stash and store craft supplies, toys, nail polishes and makeup accessories, shoes, winter gloves & scarves, incoming and outgoing mail, magazines and paperwork. They don’t take up extra space and are easy to install.
- Dangle Your Stuff: Hooks
I absolutely couldn’t be organized without hanging my dog leashes, keys, belts, ties, backpacks or jewelry on a hook. Hooks can be mounted just about anywhere; on a wall, behind a door and even on the inside of a cabinet and create easy access for storage and retrieval. They can also add a decorative element to a space.
- Hide Your Stuff: Furniture Storage
Ottomans and other related types of furniture are an easy way to de-clutter on the fly. Their great to hide away extra bed linens, blankets, entertainment media such as CD’s & DVDs and just about anything else you need to stash away on a moment’s notice. I love storage benches in the entry/exit way for shoes and ready to grab beach stuff and sporting equipment and supplies.
- Store Your Stuff: Boxes
Boxes are a great way to keep stuff sorted and categorized and add a decorative style to your home or office. Stylish boxes are perfect when you want a streamlined and are a completely functional out of sight way to keep anything organized. I use various types’ boxes for office supplies, holiday decorations, batteries, light bulbs, candles, greeting cards, stationery and more. They are also a great way to maximize space by stacking them on top of one another.
